This Nike+ Training Club app concept simplified the task of finding an appropriate workout by allowing the user to adjust each of the parameters to their preference. The default set of options were based on general usage data, but over time, machine learning would optimize the workout for each user.
Removing the name and price from the top level of results in Nike+ Assist Search allowed us to display both the‘facets’ and products simultaneously, allowing the store salesperson to fine tune the search with customers looking over their shoulder.
In 2015 poor fit was the number one reason for returns on Nike.com, with over $36 million in products returned. 3D fit was designed to use a customer’s cell phone camera to accurately record foot size. Aligning this information with the volumetric data for each Nike shoe would ensure a perfect fit.
